2024 Victorian Spirits Sustainability Report Available Now

The SVA is very proud to present the second edition of the Victorian Spirits Sustainability Report for calendar year 2024.

This report builds on the data gathered in the inaugural 2023 report and shows that Victorian distilleries are continuing to improve sustainability practices.  While overall production volumes were lower than 2023, we are seeing an increased use of solar energy, a continued focus on circular economy and sourcing materials locally and some fantastic examples of water reduction.

We will be conducting the report again for 2025 so I ask all distillers to consider reporting their data using the the excellent SVA Sustainability toolkit to capture the key inputs.  It is worth viewing the demonstration webinar and familiarising yourselves with the tool to make the data collation process smoother - it's actually pretty quick once you have all the data together.

This will allow you an easy way to report and demonstrate commitment to sustainability which is becoming mandatory with some customers.
